CDHD to Hold Downtown H1N1 Clinic

State employees and downtown workers encouraged to get vaccinated

On December 8th Governor Butch Otter issued a memo to all state employees encouraging them to get the H1N1 flu vaccination before Christmas. The memo inspired Central District Health Department (CDHD) to arrange a downtown flu clinic, not just for state workers but for all adults who work or live in downtown Boise. The clinic will take place at the Boise Centre on the Grove Wednesday December 16th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This clinic is designed for adults; there will be no vaccine for children. All H1N1 flu vaccine administered by the health district is free.

“I applaud Central District Health for setting up this clinic to help state employees and other citizens get vaccinated against H1N1 flu,” said Governor Otter. “By getting vaccinated before the holidays, we can help protect our friends and loved ones so we do not become sick or spread this potentially serious virus to others.”

The H1N1 flu clinic will take place in the Perch Room on the north side of the building. Enter from the fountain side of the Grove. An interactive map of the Boise Centre on the Grove can be found here.

To speed the process of going through the clinic it is recommended that people download the public consent form and fill it out in advance.

The Boise Centre on the Grove has donated use of the Perch Room for this flu clinic. For more information on the H1N1 flu visit the CDHD website at or call the CDHD Flu Hotline at 321-2222.
